The Cheeze Stands Alone

As many of you might have wondered, where are the pictures of Dana??? Well, I am here to put that bad boy to bed. I have not excluded her pictures out of neglect, but as every man knows, you verify all pictures of you wife publishing them on the web!

Of course one of the keys to a happy home has to be making sure the kids are getting along with each other. Eros seems to be catching on..............

Brodie has been doing great. Dana and I are adjusting to parenting life, and loving it more than we ever imagined. I never thought that I would volunteer to change diapers, just to spend more time with my son. Not saying that he is always excited about the project!

Talk about time flying by! A week has passed since we got home and everything has been going great. Friends and family have been coming over to see the little man. Everyone has been so generous with gifts and bringing us dinner. Aunt Sara was in town from Washington, and Brodie sucked up every minute of it.

Once we got settled in it was time for a little face time with dad! He seems to spend a lot of time in his position. Dana has been throwing around terms such as "baby hog"..............I don't know where it is coming from.
Though he is never too busy for the important thinking that needs to be done.
Even has time for a little smile for the camera. Believe it or not, catching him with his eyes open is not the easiest of feats!

I meant to put together a few more pics in the hospital. I just got a little free time as we got back home so I thought that I would post a little more. We got to our permanent room in the hospital around 7:30am Sunday morning . We were pretty exhausted having been up for 24 hours and Dana in labor for 19 hours, what a trooper. We started to get to know our little man! The nurses took him for his first bath. Dana and I were able to take showers and eat, maybe the greatest shower and snack either of us has every taken. I say this as a guy that ate lunch and dinner while Dana had chicken broth, you girls are amazing!

Sat morning started with excitement as Dana and I went the hospital at 9:30am. We got checked into our room and and got the show on the road. Dana was induced at 10:30am on Sat. Later in the day things really starting to move along. A little too fast and the nurses decided to back off a little. But, like all great things, he was worth the wait.

Brodie Charles Poturalski was born at 5:09am on Easter Sunday. He was 8lbs 13oz, and 21 inches long.

We are both very excited parents. More pictures and info to follow, but Brodie just couldn't wait to say "HI"
